Making Impacts

We connect directly with pediatric patients through engaging art and craft workshops, music therapy sessions, and take-home activity kits. Since 2021, we have hosted more than 55 in-person events, grown our volunteer base to over 200 registered volunteers, logged over 1500 volunteer hours, and, in partnership with Holiday Heroes of Chicago—a nonprofit supporting children with complex medical challenges—delivered over 3,000 craft activity packs to 11 children's hospitals throughout Chicagoland.

Patient Support Programs

Craft Activity Kits

Art for Hope’s uniquely designed craft activity kits have been delivered to in-patients at 11 Chicago-area children’s hospitals through partners. Since 2023, we have delivered over 3000 kits to the pediatric patients facing the most complex medical challenges in our community.

Art and Craft Sessions

We provide both in-person and virtual (coming soon) art and craft workshops for local pediatric patients and online rare disease communities.

Hope Boxes

Surprise ‘Hope Boxes’ filled with original handmade crafts and activity kits are mailed to rare disease patients enrolled in our support program. This newly launched program interacts directly with patients and their families.

Music Therapy

Volunteers bring joy to patients through music, enhancing their sensory therapy experience.

Mental Health Therapy

Through partnerships with local health organizations, we provide craft sessions for neurodivergent pediatric patients from underserved Chicago communities, offering meaningful social connection as they create projects that benefit others.

Corporate Packing Parties

Corporate packing parties are great team-building opportunities that connect people while giving back to the local communities.

Community Craft Packing Parties

Community packing parties are held year-round and open to volunteers of all ages and abilities. Activity kits are assembled and then delivered to Chicago area children’s hospitals.

Fundraising

Volunteers participate in various craft fairs and holiday markets to raise awareness and funds for the cause. We also host craft making workshops and work sessions for all ages.

Service Learning

On-site and off-site service learning opportunities are provided to K-12 students who are passionate about helping others and volunteering.
