We were thrilled to host thirty middle schoolers from across the city in partnership with Project:Vision Chicago! These students spent a morning diving into service learning, discovering how to lead through their unique talents for arts and crafts. Every kit they packed is filled with care and will be part of our massive February delivery to 18 Chicago-area children’s hospitals. We couldn't be prouder of these young leaders! 

Halloween is here again! In partnership with Holiday Heroes of Chicago, we spent a joyful afternoon at Comer Children’s Hospital creating crafts with the brave young heroes fighting for their health. Their smiles warmed our hearts and are the reason Art for Hope keeps going. 

We hosted a lively jewelry-making team-building event at MAHA in support of Art for Hope’s holiday fundraising sale. The creativity and enthusiasm of the incredible volunteers from the Midwest Asian Health Association truly shone through in the beautiful, handcrafted bracelets they created.

In a wonderful collaboration with the Midwest Asian Health Association and Bridge to the Future, neurodivergent youth and their families from Bridgeport and Chinatown joined forces to give back. Together, they hand-prepared over 100 teddy bears to bring comfort to our children’s hospital programs. We believe that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, can be a champion for their community. 

Art for Hope is officially four years old! To celebrate, our amazing volunteers gathered for a sun-drenched afternoon of connection in the beautiful South Loop community garden.

Our volunteers truly are the heart and soul of everything we do. Our programs wouldn't exist without your passion and dedication. From the bottom of our hearts: Thank you for four incredible years!

From making crafts and preparing signs to passionately explaining our mission to judges and fair guests, our student volunteers worked hard to spread the word about Art for Hope. It came as no surprise when they were awarded the Entrepreneurial Energy Award — they had earned every bit of it.

A big shoutout to the amazing volunteers at JP Morgan Chase for spending an afternoon spreading joy and creating memories with us together.  

Sixty middle school students from Project:Vision in the Bridgeport and Chinatown neighborhoods joined Art for Hope for a two-day service learning experience, assembling over 450 origami kits and 300 Teddy Bear craft kits destined for children's hospitals. We are deeply grateful for their hard work, enthusiasm, and the genuine care they poured into every single kit. Seeing these students so engaged and invested was truly heartwarming.

We had a full house at the Bucktown Library today! We are so excited to have so many new volunteers joining us in making a difference for the patients we service.

Art for Hope is proud to partner with the Midwest Asian Health Association Autism Center to share the healing power of art and craft with underserved pediatric autistic patients from the Bridgeport and Chinatown communities. Together, we enjoyed a meaningful afternoon building connections, folding teddy bears, and assembling craft kits for the rare disease patients we serve. The enthusiasm of the young participants was truly inspiring, reaffirming our belief that people of all ages and abilities can be champions of giving back to the community. 

We hosted a couple of Teddy Bear Packing parties in Downers Grove and Chicago to get more adorable Teddy Bears in the hands of patients for this winter season.  We love the energy our young volunteers bring to our program!  We donated 350 Teddy Bear Kits to Holiday Heroes just before Christmas.

A huge thank you to our new volunteers from Chicago! With your help, we packed 170 activity kits for Holiday Heroes' fall activity boxes. Your support truly makes a meaningful impact! 

We had a wonderful time hosting a Teddy Bear Folding Workshop at the Downers Grove Public Library, with a full house of eager participants! Our volunteers had a blast creating soft, cuddly teddy bears from baby washcloths. We hope the towel-folding kits bring joy to the children in the hospital. A heartfelt thank you to Fionatastic Jewelry for their generous sponsorship, making this workshop possible! 

A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers who powered through the heat and humidity to raise funds for Art for Hope at the Naperville Children's Business Fair. You are the heart of our mission, bringing more smiles to the children and the community we proudly serve! 

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated in our annual T-shirt design contest! Your creativity and ongoing support bring energy to our program and brighten the lives of the patients we serve. 

Origami Packing Parties

Volunteers from the Origami Club of The British International School of Chicago, St. Ignatius College Prep, The Avery Coonley School and The University of Chicago Lab School helped packing nearly 200 origami activity kits for spring delivery to 5 Chicago area children's hospitals.  A big Thank You to the students!
